As a member of the Hunterdon County Public Relations Committee, I was tasked with collaborating with fellow librarians to develop and implement marketing initiatives to showcase to the public the resources available to them as library card holders. My responsibilities ranged from spearheading large scale programing to creating press releases for radio and newspaper. In response to changing user demographics, I also participated in seminars on how to effectively conduct outreach to minority populations. As a result of this training, I conducted outreach visits to juvenile detention centers as well as ethnic community day events.

My outreach responsibilities intensified as the Teen Outreach Librarian at the Hillsborough Public Library. In addition to monthly visits to area schools, I also developed digital volunteer opportunities for teens. These opportunities ranged from creating original podcasts to video book trailers. I also developed collection proposals in response to patron demand that resulted in a new video game collection and library gaming stations.

I also possess significant outreach experience in an academic environment. My position in the Graduate Life Office at Lehigh University required working with administrators and faculty to publicize graduate events. My responsibilities included creating publicity materials for the Teacher Development Program, soliciting donations form local businesses, and creating audiovisual content of lectures for student use.
